I returned to Chicago for a weekend, and I had to eat again in Shaw’s. As soon as I knew I was coming back the only thing I had in mind was enjoying again the Alaskan red king crab legs their speciality.
The place has a huge dinning room, and if you’re into Jazz and Blues you can sit in the oyster bar to hear one of the local bands playing while drinking one of their signature Martinis, a single malt scotch whisky, or a glass of wine.
The Alaskan Red King Crab Legs
Mac & Cheese
Believed or not as a side I ordered their macaroni & cheese, sounds silly but it was amazing. There are no words to describe how good are the king crab legs, so you better go find out, but I can give you a hint every you won’t be disappointed.
Crab Legs
Eating crab reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Soup Nazi”.
George: All right. Shh! I gotta focus. I'm shifting into soup mode.
Elaine: Oh, God!
George: Good afternoon. One large crab bisque to go. Bread. Beautiful.
Soup Nazi: You're pushing your luck little man.
George: Sorry. Thank you.
Elaine: Hi there. Um, uh, oh! oh! oh! one mulligatawny and, um... what is that right there? Is that lima bean?
Soup Nazi: Yes.
Elaine: Never been a big fan. Um… you know what? Has anyone ever told you, you look exactly like Al Pacino? You know, "Scent Of A Woman" Who-ah! Who-ah!
Soup Nazi: Very good. Very good.
Elaine: Well, I…
Soup Nazi: You know something?
Elaine: Hmmm?
Soup Nazi: No soup for you!
Elaine: What?
Soup Nazi: Come back one year! Next!
