    About Time for a Chinese

Reminiscences of a Burger that no longer exist…

In the past few days, I remembered a place in El Hatillo where I used to have a pretty decent burger. But the last time I had one of those wasat least 8 years ago, the place Girasol, a restaurant that has a nice terrace but inside looks like a tasca. Also the menu of the place is all over, italian dishes, like pasta and rissoto, also spanish dishes like paella. However, the food is quite good, and the burgers as far as I remember were huge and tasty.

So I decided to give it a visit and see if the flavour was still the same. The burger "Girasol" which comes with bacon, egg, swiss cheese, and buffalo mozzarella. Big mistake, the place is still in business but the burger is not even close as I remember. I would suggest stick with the other options in the menu such as the cartoccio or the calamari.

Girasol menu reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Cafe” where Babu opens the Dream CafĂ©.

Jerry: He's serving Mexican, Italian, Chinese. He's all over the place. That's why no one is going in.
Elaine: Why do you keep watching?
Jerry: I don't know, I'm obsessed with it. It's like a spider in the toilet struggling for a survival. And even if you know it's not going to make it, you kind of root it for a while.
Elaine: And then you flush.
Jerry: Well, it's a spider.
