Watching a clip of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservation episode “Obsessed” I discovered a place called Minetta Tavern where they sell a special burger, the place has a Michelin star and as I have never been dissapointed with the Kitchen Confidential’s author recommendations and I was by chance in New York City I decided to give it a try.
The burger is considered a designer hamburger or a boutique burger, the patty is done with a secret mix of expensive blend of meats, as you can imagine only Prime beef is used, which makes it the Ferrari of burgers. The creator Pat La Frieda, the invention the Black Label Burger. The patty has the best possible meat, cooked on a flat metal grilled with clarified butter so the juices are refracted back to the patty in order to have it perfecly seared, and to crown it caramelised onions on top.
Is difficult to describe but I think AWESOME will be a good way, Best Burger period. Is like eating the best steak you could ask for and transform it into a burger. Be ready to pay $26 for the burger and fries, you won’t be disappointed and no remorse at all.
Elaine: Mmm! What's in the bag?
George: New tuxedo. For the Pinstripe Ball. Steinbrenner is throwing a huge party at Tavern on the Green, heh!
Jerry: Kind of a Yankee prom?
George: It's not a prom. It's a Ball.
Jerry: You’re taking Allison?
George: Yes, of course I'm taking Allison. This woman is genetically engineered to go to a ball. Tall, blonde, lithe…
Jerry: Live?
Elaine: Lithe.
George: Live?
Elaine: Lithe!
Jerry: Oh, lithe!
Elaine: Well, you two'll have a great time there.
Jerry: It can't be worse than this.
Elaine: Mmm!
George: An' wait'll you see the dress that she's got. It's backless! Uh?! I'm finally gonna make a great entrance!
Elaine: Backless? Ya gonna back her in?
George: Elaine, when a woman makes a ball entrance, she twirls.
Elaine: She's not gonna twirl.
George: She'll Twirl.
