An Irish Place in Covent Garden

If there is one pub I frequented that is Porterhouse. Irish roots, serving and brewing exclusive beers many of them international award winners. The mix 3x3, 3 stouts, 3 lagers, and 3 ales. My favourite one Plain stout.

If you’re hungry an Irish menu featuring Bia Beag (small food) to main plates, and also covering burgers with Irish beef. The place features live music, from indie Irish bands to traditional Irish Seisiun on Sundays from 5 to 9pm.

My last stop in the place was on St Patrick’s day, went with my Irish friends to celebrate as usual the day and in top of that my birthday week long usual celebration. Couldn’t be better, good beer, excellent music, and festive mood all over the place.

Beer reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Sniffing Accountant” where Kramer sets up a sting to catch Jerry's accountant.

Kramer: I'll have a brewsky , Charlie.
Bartender: Name's Mitch.
Kramer: Oh, there's nothing like a cold one after a long day, eh?
Barry: Yeah.
Kramer: Oh yeah, I've been known to drink a beer or two. But then again, I've been known to do a lot of things.
Kramer: Cigarette?
Barry: No, I never touch them.
Kramer: I suck'em down like Coca-Cola. Well here's to feeling good all the time.
Kramer: Looks like you've got yourself a little cold there, eh?
Barry: I don't think so.
Kramer: Me neither.
