Tayyabs Pakistani Cuisine at its best

Tayyabs is definitely one of the best places to eat in London. I take my friends there when they come visit and haven’t got any complains yet. You know the place is good when you have to do a big queue, wait for at least 30 minutes to get your table even when you reserve for a table, and in top see how the manager/owner gives tables to friends or acquaintance that arrive from nowhere skipping the long queue, with all these factors affecting your overall experience the food is so exceptional you won’t care and wait patiently and anxious for your table.

My favourite dish is the mixed grill, which brings chicken tikka, lamb chops, and seekh kebab. I could only eat the grill, but is also good to try the karahi chicken keema, and the karahi gosht (lamb) with some garlic nan and rice.

I‘m pretty sure anything you ask will be perfect, every time I have been in the place the food has been spotless, a real Pakistani Punjabi experience.


Pakistani food reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Cafe” where Jerry convinces Babu to change his cafe into serving Pakistani food.

Jerry: Babu? Babu, Babu, you know, I got to tell you, I never do this, but the shrimp, it's just that it's a little stringy. You have any chicken?
Babu: The shrimp is stringy?
Jerry: Well, maybe your refrigerator.
Babu: Quiet! You shut up! You make me change restaurant, but nobody comes! You say make Pakistani, Babu Bhatt have only Pakistani restaurant. But where are people? You see people? Show me people. There are no people!
Jerry: You know, I think I'll just take the check.
Babu: You bad man! You very very bad man!

i'm glad its your favourite: unfortunately im originally from HK so indian food is amazing over there (as if home-cooked meals..) i went to tayyabs recently and i was not impressed'; the menu is so limited they dont even have saag on the menu but i ordered it anyway and they brought it; along with my "off the menu" bhajis and raita!

I love HK, amazing place, went for a week to visit a friend and I wanted to stay longer... I completely understand your comment as the food over there was amazing...
Good tips... next time I will definitely order that as well...
