Indian Fast Food: Who said Lawyers can’t cook

While wandering around Soho without any specific destination, I bump into Mooli’s. Immediately I remembered a post recommending the place, so I suggested my friend Monica to give it a try. The concept is fast Indian food, all put it together in a wrap or should I say Roti, don’t worry if you don’t figure it out, they make sure to let you know is not a burrito. Mooli’s story cannot be more entrepreneurial, two ex City blokes that got bored of credit default swaps and investment banking and started in winter 2009 their place.

The squad for the occasion are rotis fill with goan pork, keralan beef, crumbled paneer, chickpeas, chicken, and punjabi goat. I decided to have the keralan beef mix with coconut, salsa and yogurt. Amazing spicy flavour, little bit messy, but messy is good when is tasty. It was so good that I couldn’t contain myself and I went for a second round, this time I got the punjabi goat with cumin potatoes and salsa. Again flawless, not as messy as the first one, an excellent option for a fast snack in the middle of Soho.

Great option in the area, so if you’re hungry and in a hurry don’t think twice and go to Mooli’s, you probably will stay longer trying more of these tasty rotis.

All this Indian take away reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Visa” when Babu is deported back to India.

Babu: So his friend got the mail but she did not give it to him. And then he came to visit me. Said the lawyer was called to help, he said the wheels were in motion, but there was no motion. There was nothing. And so they sent me back here.
Babu's Friend: This is a terrible story, Babu. What are you going to do?
Babu: I'm going to save up every rupee. Someday, I will get back to America, and when I do I will exact vengeance on this man. I cannot forget him. He haunts me. He is a very bad man. He is a very very bad man.
