A Small Italian Paninoteca in Charlotte Street

I love to find the true gems in the city and Italia Uno is one of them. A small Italian cafe serving sandwiches or Paninis. The place is full of Italians which is an excellent indication. You will be able to watch football matches from the Calcio or the Premier league while enjoying an espresso. The menu goes from Italian Paninis, to large salads, breakfast, and hot food including pasta, best thing is you will be served by the owner, making sure everything is authentic.

The Place

Got there a late Sunday, sat down asked for an espresso and an Italian Panini with mozzarella and Parma ham and enjoyed a Napoli football match.

Menu on the Black Board

The Panini was quite good, nice flavours, and the price was almost nothing I spent less than a fiver. I kind of regret not having ask for a cotoletta as well.

Simple but Tasty

A true Italian place for a quick bite.

The large salad remind me the Seinfeld episode “The Big Salad

George: Well, well, well, I'm not treating you to lunch ANYMORE! You had to tell Julie that I made a special point of telling you that I bought you the big salad. Didn't you.
Elaine: Uh, uh.
George: You know, if it was a regular salad I wouldn't have said anything. But you had to have the BIG SALAD.
