NYE Leftovers = Venezuelan Moistmaker

I bet most of you have watched the Friends episode of Ross’ leftover sandwich with the moistmaker, well we usually don’t have turkey but instead a huge pork ham straight to the oven cooked the Venezuelan way, nothing like the day after NYE waking up and taking some slices of pork, put it on a fresh baguette, some tomatoes, and a special aioli sauce with a touch of mustard.

Pork Ham
Venezuelan Moistmaker
I love spending Xmas in Venezuela, visiting the family, seeing some old friends, and more important the food is outstanding, the traditional hallacas, pan de jamon (ham bread), and ensalada de gallina (Hen salad), you can read a little bit one of my old posts.

New Year reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Millennium”

Kramer: Uh, hey buddy
Jerry: Hey
Kramer: It all right if I keep these here for a while? I'm having a New Year's Eve party
Jerry: You're going to keep these here for eight months?
Kramer: No, Jerry. New Year's Eve nineteen ninety-nine. The millennium, I told you about that
Jerry: Kramer, you're going to leave these chairs here for two and a half years?
Kramer: You're not going to see them. I got a case of party poppers I'm going to keep in front of them
