    About Time for a Chinese

Bluebird singing in the dead of night

A place I have been curious to try everytime I pass by their front in Chelsea is Bluebird. The place looks nice, chic, posh, and gives plenty of options, having a restaurant, bar, courtyard cafĂ©, bakery, food store, and a wine cellar.

Bluebird
So I was for a quick bite nearby, making time for meeting some friends and decided to try the food store/bakery, The Bluebird Epicerie, good looking sandwiches, viennoiserie, Danish pastries, focaccias, prepared salads, or a salad bar.

I got two sandwiches to go, a chicken Caesar, and a turkey one. Both were pretty nice, fresh ingredients, great quality, attention to detail, the sauce home made, good balance, simple but effective. The Caesar was really nice, the Parmesan cheese flakes, the Caesar dressing perfect. The turkey with tomato and spinach, again good flavours, a nice spicy mayo elevate the combination.

So if you’re around the area for a quick bite, make the pit stop in Bluebird, definitely took its broken wings and learnt to fly.

Birds remind me the Seinfeld episode “The Merv Griffin Show”

Kramer: Oh! Well, ladies and gentlemen! It's our good friend, George Costanza! What a surprise! Yeah, sit, sit, sit, well!
George: Well, it happened again
Jerry: What happened?
Kramer: tut tut! I'll ask the questions. What happened?
George: Well, I just stomped some pigeons in the park. They didn't move
Kramer: All right, let's change the subject. Now, you and Jerry dated for a while, tell us what was that like? That was the wrong card
George: I don't get these birds! They're breaking the deal. It's like the pigeons decided to ignore me!
Jerry: So they're like everyone else
