Another great sandwich in Borough Market

I took Roberto and Eliana to Borough market, that's a must, actually I take everyone that comes to visit me there, and I have to say ‘till today everyone has loved it. Well it was no different this time, I recommended them to try Kappacasein's grilled cheese and Brindisa’s chorizo sandwich, but I wanted to try something different, I struck gold when I saw a little stall named Roast to go

My visitors waiting for the Jubilee to get to Borough
The stall
The place is owned by Roast restaurant that is located in the Floral Hall of the Borough Market, serving traditional British food, in this case delicious British to go. Serving breakfast from 7am, and classics from 11am, most of them sandwiches.

Menu
I couldn't resist the pork belly and crackling sandwich with Bramley apple sauce, so basically the same dish that is in the restaurant menu but in a sandwich format. It was superb, I almost cried of joy while eating that amazing pork belly, the crackling crunchiness, and the belly full of flavour, nice contrast of the sweet apple sauce, it was great and pretty generous sandwich.

Belly time
One of the best sandwiches in London for sure, but be prepared to check cholesterol levels after having it. I should be back soon to try the restaurant’s Beef Wellington.

Roast reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Stong Box”

Jerry: Check these out. These are Jerry Lewis' old cufflinks that he actually wore in the movie Cinderfella. I got them at an auction
George: I got some cuff links I could've loaned you
Jerry: No, Jerry Lewis is going to be at this Friar's Club roast I'm going to next week. Now I have an in to strike up a conversation with him
George: You already have an in. You have the same first name! Jerry!
Jerry: Oh, that'll intrigue him
George: Well, it worked when I met George Peppard last week
Jerry: George Peppard has been dead for years
George: Well, whoever he was, he knew a lot about The A-Team!

Hi!

We've not met but I'm also a big fan of sandwiches around London.

I've even gone as far as building a website so people can find a decent sandwich in London.

Would you be interested perhaps in helping others find great sandwiches by adding your review to the site?

Best,

Pete
