Tapa Brunch

Since I moved to SW19 I have been looking for a place to have brunch in west London. I was relaxed in a comfort zone with the usual spot in east London near London Fields, but it was time to find a new place near from home.

The Place

Surfing the net I found that The Providores does a tapas brunch. I’ve been in the place in previous opportunities, and the tapas I tried were good, but a tapas breakfast/brunch was a new concept for me.

The Menu

So I went to the breakfast bar in their tapa room, they don’t take reservation so I got a little bit early, the place full as usual, got me no more than 10 minutes to get two sits in the room decorated with the huge Rarotongan Tapa cloth hanging from the wall.

Coffee Time

I oredered a fry-up, grilled smokey streaky bacon, sauteed buttered field mushrooms, slow roasted tomatoes with two poached eggs, and buttered sourdough. Just excelent as expected. Definetely coming back for more, in conclusion I can properly say that Providores will be my new brunch shack in the future.

Fry Up

Brunch reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Invitations” where Jerry gets engaged with Jeannie.

Jerry: I'll just have a cup of coffee.
Jeannie: Bowl of Corn flakes.
Jerry: More cereals? that's your third bowl today, you had it for breakfast and lunch.
Jeannie: Hey! So what's the deal with brunch , I mean that if it's a combination of breakfast and lunch. How comes there's no lupper or no linner.
