Escaping the Royal Wedding X: In the Jungle the Burger Sleeps Tonight

Visiting an old friends during my last stop in Manchester before coming back to the Capital, and by complete chance I ended eating in Giraffe. I remembered when I was doing my master degree I ate once in Spitalfields market with a classmate and it was a pretty decent burger, so I decided to give it a try again.

Menu

The Place

A relax place, with world music from Putumayo collection, and a love, eat, and live motto. 42 restaurants in the UK, serving a selection from different cuisines as nachos, hummus and baba ganoush, brushcettas, edame, burgers, noodles, quesadillas, jambalaya risotto, and many others, in conclusion all over the place their menu, options for everybody.

The Place

I decided to try an odd burger this time so I got the Herby Chicken Schnitzel BLT burger, which brings bacon, melted cheddar, house chipotle sauce, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.

Herby Burger

The burger was not good to be honest, I recall the first one I had a couple years back was much better, if I remember well I had that time the Giraffe Burger, anyway, the main problem was the chicken schnitzel, it was too dry. The fries were ok, nothing special.

In conclusion, not good enough to go for my quest, bright side I spent a great afternoon with an old friend and his family walking around Manchester city centre.

All these Giraffe and Zoo ambience reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Comeback”.

George: Sometimes in life, the gods smile upon you, my friends.
Jerry: Did you get someone to take that Canadian quarter?
George: I got another meeting with Reilly. A whole new audience, and I bet I can get him to try that line again.
Elaine: Who's Reilly?
Jerry: George was scarfing shrimp at this meeting and this guy says 'Hey, George, the ocean called. They're running outta shrimp.'
George: Listen to the comeback. “Oh yeah? Well the jerk store called. They're running out of you.” What? You gotta be kidding me?
Elaine: How about this one? How about, “Your cranium called. It's got some space to rent?”
George: What does that mean?
Jerry: Hey, here you go. “Hey, Reilly! The zoo called. You're due back by six.”
George: No, no, no, no. You're not helping me.
Kramer: Look, just tell him you had sex with his wife. That'll kill him.
George: I'm not looking for another line. I got the line.
