Burger Wars Episode LXXXIV: Welcome to Miami [BurgeReview]

Why don't you get a pair of white shoes, move down to Miami Beach and get
the whole thing over with?
Jerry Seinfeld (Seinfeld episode “The Scofflaw”)

There is a new special in Byron until 9 June, the Miami Slice. We did a stop in Hammersmith to get a couple of them.

The place in Hammersmith
Miami Slice brings a 6oz patty with crispy potatoes, spicy salami, American cheese, smoked paprika ketchup, sourdough bun, chicharrones, and hot sauce on the side.

Miami Slice
The verdict, not Byron’s best special, sadly I don't think it worked at all even with the addition of crispy potatoes and the spicy salami. Also, the hot sauce on the side wasn’t hot but sweet.

The damage, 9.95 quid for the burger with the pork scratchings

The conclusion, have to say Byron was on a roll of really good specials until this one. Burger was a bit overcooked (medium instead of medium rare). A couple other issues in general in the Hammersmith restaurant. Order took long to get. We observed how the fries and onion rings were waiting for long time on the counter, as result fries were cold and chewy, the rings were also soaked in oil. In their defence only one chef/cook in the restaurant working on rush lunchtime, service was sporadic and also it seemed understaffed.
