I did a little research about burger places in D.C. and the name that always came back was BGR Burger Joint, so I decided to drop by and try it as they say it is “one burger YOU MUST HAVE before you die”. The place try to recreate the owner childhood when his neighbour which was actually a butcher offering the only prime beef meat in the area prepared amazing burgers on Sundays. Now they offer a prime beef dry aged burger worthy of that memory.
Fast food style, with an 80s atmosphere, you order at the counter and then look for a place to sit down. 10 different burgers in the menu, with Ahi Tuna, and Lobster are the odd choices. I went for the Wellington burger, roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic with a touch of mustard seed and blue cheese in a mojo sauce. As a side I got onion rings. The burger is quite good, great flavour, I wouldn’t mind a little bit more cheese on it, on the other hand the onion rings were superb, I think the best ones I have had.
Kramer: The AC is on his way.
George: Pardon me, I went to see your friend Dwayne, there was no discount.
Kramer: What?
George: That's right, no discount!
Kramer: Well did you mention my name?
George: Yes, I mentioned your name.
Kramer: And?
George: Bubkis!
Kramer: Now I don't believe this. That guy owes me big time. I got him off sugar! Look, I'm gonna go down there with you right now.
George: All right, let me just, I'm gonna grab an apple.
Jerry: Hey, Kramer, Elaine's afraid of Snowball!
Kramer: Little Snowball? He runs on batteries!
Elaine: You know, George, that's an onion.
George: Yes it is.
