It had been a long time for me without visiting Notting Hill. I used to go a lot when I was doing my master, as I find the area pretty vibrant, full of places to eat and drink. One of the places I wanted to go is a pizzeria in the area its name Pizza Metro. Famous for serving the longest traditional Neapolitan pizza in London. Preparing everything from scratch, including the dough, which is hand stretch by their Italian chefs and cooked in a wooden oven to ensure the more authentic flavour.
The Place
The Metro Chef
Two locations one in Battersea and the other in Notting Hill, and in the menu antipasti, pasta, salads, and 22 pizzas to choose.
Open Plan Oven
Got to the place after a networking picnic event in Hyde Park, ordered an Italian beer and a Cicciobomba pizza, a combination of mozzarella, tomato, ham, salami, black olives, mushrooms, meatballs, and sausage.
Cicciobomba
The pizza was great, amazing rustic, and traditional flavours. The Ciccibomba is an explosion of flavour of all these ingredients combine together, perfect for an evening of gluttony.
Pizza Time
Metro reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Subway”
George: How many tickets are you paying today?
Kramer: Well, let's see: speeding, running a red light, no license, no registration, no plates, no brake lights, no rear view mirror... yeah.
George: No doors?
Kramer: I'm fighting that one. You know, this is going to cost me over six hundred bucks.
