When in Houston I had the time to catch up with my friend Taylor, and the first thing he asked me was if I had tried Goode Co Texas Bar-B-Q. The place is an institution in Houston, Jim Goode while having a late lunch in 1977 during labour day in a not so successful BBQ place, he struck conversation with the owner and before leaving he made an offer to buy the place, a few days later the original Goode Company Barbeque opened.
Right Here
What is good about this place, well since its beginning they decided to offer the best barbecue in town, they didn't need the secret formula just did the things in the right way. Got to the place before Taylor, and the place was packed, queues of hungry Texans looking for a plate of probably the best BBQ in town.

The menu with 10 different splendid meats, their original sauce, sandwiches, combo plates, sides, and so for and so on. I felt hungry so I went for three meat combo, beef brisket, pork ribs, and the jalapeno pork sausage, as a side rice and spicy beans, and to cool down a bit a cold Shiner Bock.

The food awesome, real and traditional flavours, the place is full of history. Couldn’t decide which meat was better as all where great, the sausage with the spicy touch, the ribs were amazing, and the brisket just the real deal. A must go if you are in Houston.
Texas reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Busboy”
Jerry: Flying doesn't make me nervous, driving to the airport can make you very nervous because when you're flying, when you're getting on the plane, if you miss that plane, there's no alternative. On the ground, you have options. You have buses, you have taxis, you have trains. But, when you're taking a flight, if you miss it, that's it. No airline goes, "Well, you missed the flight, we do have a cannon leaving in about ten minutes. Would you be interested in that? It's not a direct cannon, you have to change cannons after you land. I'm sorry, where you going? Chicago? Oh, Dallas? Alright, wait a second... Dallas, that's about Dallas. Texas, anyway. You should hit Texas. Are you ready? Make sure you get out of the net immediately, because we shoot the luggage in right after you.
