Spuntino is one of my favourite places in London, love the small dishes share idea, Brooklyn style, cool, trendy, radical, open seven days a week, no reservations, no telephone. Over a year and a half after its opening the place still delivers what they promise, a good time, and great food.

This time I took Marisol with me and she loved it, who wouldn't. She loves popcorn so imagine her face when we got the welcoming popcorns. We started with the awesome eggplant chips, great as usual, the dip is to die for. After that we share the truffled egg toast, it was superb the runny truffled egg capture by the toast, nice flavours. Then moved to the mushrooms and pecorino crostini, another masterpiece, nice flavours, hearty, rustic, lovely. Next the chicken wings, perfectly cooked, seasoned perfectly. Finally we got the Po'Boy, nice, good flavours, probably the weakest link of the night, Spuntino I love you but is far from an original New Orleans Po'Boy, probably needs some rework.

That no phone policy reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Susie”
George (Answering Machine): Believe it or not, George, isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep. I must be out or I'd pick up the phone. Where could I be? Believe it or not, I'm not home. Beep
Jerry: George, pick up. I know you're screening for Allison
George: Hey
Jerry: So, coffee shop?
George: No, I can't. She knows I go there. It's not secure. Hey, I got another call coming in. I got to let the machine get it, bye
