Pizza places in Notting Hill are getting popular. One new face on Portobello block is Saporitalia. Around 8 months operating. Italian owners, Italian staff, and truly Italian flavours. As soon as you get in you feel the Italian hospitality and the heat of the wood fire oven.

We got quite late for lunch, actually so late that they were preparing for dinner service and the only thing available was pizzas. Lucky us that was the reason of our visit. After minutes hesitating we ordered a pomodorino, Italian Parma ham, rocket, and parmesan shaves. The other pizza a capricciosa, ham, artichoke, olives, and mushrooms.
Capricciosa |
Both pizzas were great, excellent thin and crispy dough, a bit bigger than the normal London size, fresh plenty toppings. My favourite the Parma ham, rocket, and parmesan a classic combination, elevated with a drizzle of a chilli oil.
Pomodorino |
To end a tiramisu and a macchiato. Nice coffee, strong and good aromas.

Flavour reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Junior Mint”
Jerry: Ages zero through ten, candy is your life. There's nothing else. Family, friends, school, they're only obstacles in the way of getting more candy. And you have your favourite candies that you love. You know the ones, I love those, I hate those, I hate those, I love those. And only a seven year old kid could actually taste the difference between like a red M&M and a light brown, M&M. That's two totally different things when you're seven years old. Well, your red is more of a main course M&M, but the brown it's more of a mellower flavour, it's an after dinner M&M, really
