The Not Official London Coffee Guide

Doctor gave me a relaxation cassette. When my blood pressure gets too high, the man on the tape tells me to say, Serenity now!
Frank Costanza (Seinfeld episode “The Serenity Now”)

It has been a while since the last time I put together a list. Knowing lists are sometimes quite useful I decided to give you my take on the best (in my humble opinion) “I have bumped into” London’s coffee independent scene. There are many more places I have not have the chance to visit but at least I hope you like my selection, and if you have any recommendations please do share it on the comments below. Enjoy!

Flat White at Flat White
Kaffeine

Probably the first independent coffee place I visited, amazing, attention to detail, and I loved they got me my macchiato and on the side they gave me a cascara (coffee skin) infusion

Different locations, good standards, excellent training to their staff, and overall nice coffee, what’s not to like

A humble little place in Soho with great coffee. I still remember the days the Pizza Pilgrims were trading on Berwick St Market, nothing like a pizza followed by a nice espresso

They were on an expansion opening different places as Nude. Nice coffee and also they usually have liquor license so you can have wine or beer later, bottoms up

Same owners as Flat White, same quality. Really nice coffee.

The coffee place if you are in Bricklane, nice coach to relax while you drink your flat white

A massive restaurant, cafĂ©, and roaster in King’s Cross. Great coffee, food is also nice, serve in small plates to share.

You can get your coffee and wander around Broadway or Netil Market, maybe after why not to lay down on London’s field

Alternative place in Dalston with great coffee. They opened another shop in Stratford

Various places including Chiswick/Stamford Brook and Putney, good coffee and standard quality in all their places

Good coffee but main attraction is that you will be drinking on an 1899 Victorian toilet

Various places around, nice breakfast offers in Clerkenwell, if you sit in the back you will see their roaster maybe lucky enough to see it in action

Lovely place in Mayfair and excellent coffee, perfect if you have your posh meeting

Tamp Coffee

Great coffee in Chiswick and don’t forget to get their empanadas
