I started all these burger hunt/madness thanks to a visit to Byron, not a huge fan of the place, however, every time they have a special burger I do enjoy it a lot, so imagine my excitement when I discovered that Fred Smith, yes Admiral Codrington Master Yoda of burgers, contributed with them for their Queen Diamond Jubilee special.

The new special |
The burger in question The Chilli Queen, a 6oz patty, green chilli, American cheese, shredded iceberg, chipotle mayo, and glazed bun. As a side I went for the infamous onion rings and the fried courgettes.

The verdict, Mr Smith you’re a genius, I can not love that burger more, the spicy kick, with the traditional melted cheese, and the special mayo with the iceberg lettuce is food porn. Again the onion rings too oily, I could fried another batch with the oil on the bottom of my rings’ container, and the courgettes not my thing, they are too soggy.
The damage, 8,75 quid for that magnificent burger.
The conclusion, Byron you did it again, this is by far the best special burger the chain has had, actually is the best burger they have had in the menu since they open. It was perfectly cooked, and worth every bite. The burger is going to be on the menu from May 3rd to June 5th so hurry and eat as many as you can of this limited edition. I will give her Majesty burger a solid 9 on my scale.

The Queen reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Engagement”
George: Well, you got no place to go. I'll tell you what your problem is, you brought your queen out too fast. What do you think? She's one of these feminists looking to get out of the house? No, the queen is old fashioned, likes to stay home, cook, take care of her man, make sure he feels good
Liz: Checkmate
George: I don't think we should see each other anymore
