A famous Italian place in CBD is Pellegrini’s Bar Espresso. A small Italian restaurant, homemade Italian cuisine, busy, hectic, simple, iconic, family run, and according to them truly authentic Italian food. I asked for the menu and they pointed into the wall, pretty rustic so basically I was expecting la ricetta della nonna.

Got to the place, saw the menu on the wall, and went for the ravioli Genovese. It was average,ok flavour of the sauce, looks homemade, nice portion plenty of food, the pasta was cooked properly and it was homemade, but a couple things didn't fit, the sauce was a tomato plain sauce the Genovese I’ve had is with meat pork or beef, I think the nonna was back in Italy and left the kitchen unattended.

Before leaving I had an espresso, I have to say it was quite good, an espresso perfetto, right, the aroma, strong flavour, a bit bitter, pretty good one.

Italy reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Doll”
Elaine: You know, the photo I took in Tuscany of the little man in front of the sign that said Costanza?
Frank: There's a Costanza in Tuscany? Did he look like me? Did you talk to him?
Elaine: I didn't talk to anyone, I was just walking by, and I saw the sign, and I thought George might get a kick out of it
Frank: I got to get that picture, it could be my cousin, Carlo
Elaine: Who is that?
George: When the Costanzas came here, one brother stayed behind
Frank: I played with him every day until the age of four and then we separated
Elaine: So, you weren't born here?
Frank: No. That's why I can never be president. It always irked me. That's why, even at an early age, I had no interest in politics. I refuse to vote. They don't want me, I don't want them!
