I had a business meeting in Reading and one of the nights we ended eating at The Crab at Chievely. A seafood place South East miles away from the coast. Award winning restaurant and boutique hotel.

Amouse bouche as we sat, a tuna and avocado tartare, really nice, crispy, a touch of parsley, great start.

As starter 24 hr pork belly with homemade black pudding, nice dish, good flavour, the belly was beautiful, the black pudding was a bit too dry.

To end a Salcombe crab thermidor sauce. Amazing, great flavour, fresh, lovely.
